This night we were bright awake on our couch to watch the Oscars. With a nomination for Best Foreign Film for Bullhead (Rundskop) we had more then one good reason to make it an all-nighter. Watching Matthias Schoenaerts on the red carpet made our heart skip a beat but let’s be honest, we stayed awake to spot the lovely dresses and gorgeous make-up of Angelina Jolie, Michelle Williams, Cameron Diaz, Meryl Streep, Natalie Portman and Gwyneth Paltrow. Unfortunately Bullshead didn’t win an Oscar but the girls didn’t disappoint. Let’s take a look at some of the red carpet looks.
Meryl Streep
Meryl Streep made a big impression with her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher in “The Iron Lady”, and she won the Oscar for Best Actress. On the red carpet she looked like a queen in a golden Lanvin gown. Meryl chose a glossy nude shade to top of this classic look but we recommend a cherry-coloured nail polish like our Nail Polish n°273 from the London is Blogging collection.
Michelle Williams
Being a nominee for Best Actress made Michelle Williams really want to stand out on the red carpet and she did in her orange dress which made us long for spring. She kept her nails nude and so can you with our Nail Polish n°265 from the collection A Star is Born.
Bérénice Bejo
“The Artist” was the big winner last night, taking home 5 Awards. At the red carpet it was their actress Bérénice Bejo who left everybody flabbergasted, wearing a seafoam green floor length gown. To match her dress ProNails has a light bleu in our Royal Picnic collection, namely Nail Polish n°279.
